Abstract IntroductionNational CQUIN guidance around smoking cessation in secure services stated that 65% must be smoke free by April 2016. There are 16 low and medium secure services in the Yorkshire and Humber Network, both NHS and private. Our aim as Involvement Leads of the Network was to support the services to become smoke free in the given timescale; and for this to be led by service users and staff working collaboratively.MethodWe consulted with service users and staff so they could lead this change within their own services. We held 4 stakeholder events in the form of quarterly CQUIN meetings. These events were attended by service users and staff from the services as well as specialised commissioner and PHE representatives. A final stakeholder event planned for the summer will allow service users and staff time to reflect on the challenges that they faced and how these were overcome. Findings13 of the 16 services went smoke free over the year (81.25%). Of the remaining 3 services; 2 will be smoke free by September 2016 and the final service is looking at a date of April 2017. There have been many challenges along the way and through the CQUIN meetings services have been able to share solutions and best practice in achieving the target. These challenges and solutions are demonstrated through the qualitative data collected through the stakeholder events.
